Django lives!

Vinyle vierge 180 gr, pochette double…

Some nice news ahead about Django with two recent reissues.

First, the Vinyl reissue of the well-known Barclay EP, « Nuages ». It is part of a large -100 references- cd and 33 rpm public domain reissue collection initiated by a catalan label : Jazz Images Records. Watch out for the mouth-watering covers: full-sized J.P. Leloir covers (or from his estate, as the Django photo by Hervé Derrien). You’ll also find some Count Basie, Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery, Etta James, Thelonious Monk…

Virgin 180 grs vinyl, deluxe gatefold set, for a cheap price here. You can even offer it as apicture or painting, for a friend recently reminded me that 50% of vinyls sold these days, at least in the french market, were not even played!

Another important reissue to mention (alas in french for you international readers) is the Citel Video DVD featuring the classics « Django » by Paul Paviot and « Django Legacy by Ian Cruickshank, along with a Sanseverino interview about the two-fingered genius.
